VTP

VTP – Vlan Trunking Protocol

Le VTP permet la gestion de la base de donnée des VLANs, 3 modes :

  • Serveur
    • Ajout de vlan
    • Suppression de vlan
    • Modification
    • Propagation des informations
    • gestion des VLAN de 1 à 1005
  • Client
    • Réception et propagation des informations
    • Ajout / Suppression / Modification –> impossible
  • Transparent
    • Ajout de vlan
    • Suppression de vlan
    • Modification
    • PAS de propagation des informations
    • gestion du range étendu: VLAN 1006 à 4094

Configuration

SW1#conf t
SW1(config)#vtp mode ?
  client       Set the device to client mode.
  server       Set the device to server mode.
  transparent  Set the device to transparent mode.

SW1(config)#vtp mode server
SW1(config)#vtp domain TEST
SW1(config)#vtp password cisco
SW1(config)#vtp version 2

« vtp interface » permet de spécifier l’ID utilisé

SW1(config)#vtp interface lo0 only

Vérifications

SW1#show vtp status
